HERE’S THE BIG REASON WHY YOU SHOULDN’T THROW AVOCADO SEEDS

Nowadays, Avocados can be found everywhere, to the point that they even had their own Super Bowl commercial this year. For me, the ad itself was a little too strange, however I cannot deny their quality of being delicious. Because of my dad’s job, I was traveling a lot. I saw avocados for the first time, when I moved to Venezuela in high school. It fell in love with them immediately. Since 5000 B.C.E., avocados have been cultivated in Central America. It is believed that they have come from the Puebla region of Mexico. There are at least 14 officially recognized varieties of avocados grown throughout tropical regions throughout the world.

The health benefits of avocado:

  • Reduce weight
  • It regulates blood sugar level
  • Avocado lowers the cholesterol
  • Fight against cancer
  • Healthy eyes
  • It keeps the brain healthy
Many people are not aware of the true benefits of some fruits. Sometimes accustomed to peel as is the case of apple and grape, without knowing that in his shell there is the fiber that helps our digestive system.

The avocado has many nutritional properties. But, the individuals that do not know this, only throw out parts of this superfood.

Avocado seeds have qualities and extraordinary benefits:

Lower bad cholesterol

By consuming avocado seeds, they can help lower bad cholesterol, and prevent many cardiovascular diseases. Avocado seeds also protect the formation of arterial plaque.

 They are an excellent antioxidant

Avocado seeds have antioxidant properties. They also consist of polyphenols that are typically found in green tea.

Gastrointestinal problems:

Avocado seeds are utilized for treatment of dysentery and other issues that are related to the gastrointestinal tract. Phenolics  are the compounds of these seeds, that can prevent many diseases that are caused by bacteria and viruses. They are also very good to treat gastrointestinal ulcers.


Serves as a natural antibiotic

The avocado is a potent natural antibiotic, and has anti-fungal properties. According to some studies, it was demonstrated that it serves to inhibit pathogens,  including Candida and the mosquito that is the reason for yellow fever.
